Live music in Perth: Our favourite artists at The Baltimore

Pub gigs are an absolute must. They are the best way to learn about your local up and coming bands while having a night out with your mates experiencing live music. Local bands create a raw and exciting atmosphere at their shows and they are, in truth, a great excuse to go out and have a few drinks with the lads and ladies!

Pubs are often the only venues that will host non-mainstream acts, so you can see a range of different genres performed live by people who haven’t made it big yet but definitely deserve an audience. Our gig space, The Baltimore, is the perfect place to see live music in Perth – here are a few of our favourite acts to play on our stage.

Bon’s Salute

Bon’s Salute is Perth’s very own salute to AC/DC with a strong emphasis on AC/DC’s heyday in the 1970s when rock n’ roll reigned supreme. The band pays homage, in the most rock and roll way possible, to the one and only Bon Scott and the era when he fronted the legendary band.

Devil’s Child

Perth’s only Judas Priest tribute band is here and they’re ready to thrill you with high-energy renditions of songs like Breaking the Law and Metal Meltdown. Devil’s Child’s audiences are in for a truly inspiring experience, with headbanging classics that will get your blood pumping.

Electric State

Rock served hard and heavy! Electric State is a riff-laden groove-based juggernaut from Perth, WA and WAM award winners. With singles like ‘Get In You,’ ‘Lesson,’ ‘Light It Up,’ and ‘We’re Just Blood,’ they are indisputably Perth’s favourite grunge rockers and definitely one of our favourite live bands to play at The Baltimore.

Four skilled musicians that simply like writing and performing music! Kobashi is the band for you if you like your music loud and hard – think 80’s metal style with a 90’s grunge vibe. Kobashi are a staple live band at The Baltimore.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

Satisfaction Guaranteed is a dynamic hard rock band from the shores of Bunbury. They seamlessly blend eclectic elements including psychedelic, punk and pop to form their own distinctive sound.

Primrose Path

Primrose Path is a local post-progressive group that combines elements of grunge, shoegaze and progressive metal to form their signature sound. They’re one of our favourite live bands at the Baltimore, so you should definitely check them out if you’re looking for some good live music in Perth.

Emu System

Emu System is an alternative rock band local to Perth. The group has been making music and playing gigs since its formation in June 2018. They’ve released six songs that showcase their edgy sound with one self-titled EP coming out in 2020! One of the most energetic live bands in Perth and a must-see at The Baltimore. The Baltimore, located at 36 Baltimore Pde at The Sixty30 in Merriwa, is proud to support local performers in a variety of genres including rock, metal, blues and folk and is quickly becoming one of Perth’s most popular live music venues.
